3 Compelling Wine Brands

Grupo Salute produces 3 wine brands under the care of agronomist engineer Valeria Bonomo, and winemaker, Sergio Montiel (both pictured above). The group’s innovative, modern approach is growing and making a commercial impact with sustainable practices. David and Sebastian Mayo, bring family winemaking and focused commercial practices, to complete the ownership group. alute’s fresh and quirky bottles attract attention on shelf and invite the consumer to try innovative, high-quality wines from Finca Bautem, a very prestigious, experienced vineyard. In all areas, Grupo Salute is driven to produce excellent, consumer-friendly, modern, professional wines.

Grupo Salute’s entry-level wines, Conejo Negro, are enjoying plenty success in exports as it offers great value for money, with a fun, innovative brand. A Malbec and a red blend, they offer great balance and drinkability.

Abito´s concept is to produce high-quality single-vineyard artisanal wines which people can afford regularly, to develop the habit (Spanish – abito) of drinking good wine. It´s a fine endeavour and a strong commercial proposition. Wine critics agree with regular 90+ points.

Wines include Joven (Young) unoaked wines with fresh and playful labels in Moscatel, Malbec Rose & Malbec varietals, providing a super-quaffable apertif, elegance for summer days and entrees, and a feisty BBQ wine.

Abito´s Reserva (barrel-oaked) wines are more complex and profound. Their Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot Reserva, are all elegant, full-bodied, fine wines to enjoy with great food.

Abito’s Gran Reserva (24 months barrel-oaked) wine is a brilliant representation of the terroir. A rich blend of 60% Malbec / 25% Petit Verdot / 15% Cabernet Franc, delivers a wine of multiple dimensions. The wise combination of varietals makes a highly-sophisticated wine, reminiscent of winter aromas, and fine wood. It’s a deep and balanced wine suitable for special occasions.

While Abito is the accessible premium wine range, Bonomo Montiel are small-batch signature wines where every care is taken to ensure precision, finesse, varietal expression and great quality for refined enjoyment.

The Bonomo Montiel range has won many plaudits for the elegance, complexity and quality of their wines. These wines are made on a smaller scale with high precision.

Bonomo Montiel white wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc Dulce and Blend de Blancs (Chardonnay, Viognier & Sauvignon Blanc). All 3 wines demonstrate freshness, elegance and great aroma.

The Red Reservas present excellent varietals - Malbec and Cabernet Franc with intense aroma, complexity, structure and intensity.

The sparkling wine is Pinot Noir, a wine of style and sophistication, fine tight bubbles, and elegant mouthfeel combine to make an excellent wine for celebrations.

Grupo Salute’s wine range can fit all tastes and pockets. Conejo Negro would suit convenience and supermarket retail distribution, but is bold and tasty enough to be a good house wine in local restaurants.

Abito Wines will suit importers distributing in medium and premium wine retail, HORECA and wine clubs. Consumers can get into the habit of drinking quality, artisanal wine at competitive pricing.

Bonomo Montiel would suit more eclectic and discerning drinkers looking for innovative approaches and experiences.
