Entre Gallos y Medianoche is a wine that combines the characteristics of two Mendozan valleys.

At first, you will notice a wine of perfect complexity with an intense ruby and deep violet color. On the nose, the flowers, violets and red fruits of Gualtallaray intertwine with spicy and balsamic notes of San Rafael. Freshness and stone fruits, such as plums and apricots. On the palate, it is a wine with a powerful entry, with balsamic touches, such as fresh eucalyptus and light pyrazines. And finally, we perceive a subtle touch of menthol.

The La Contienda brand has 3 excellent wines - 2 Malbecs - one each from San Rafael and Gualtallaray valleys, and a Cabernet Franc.

The San Rafael Malbec originates from the Stradella family estate. It is carefully harvested and manually selected at the ideal moment. You’ll notice the fresh fruit dominates, intense ruby color and deep violet nuances.

On the nose, spicy and balsamic notes emerge, with hints of stone fruits such as plums and apricots. On the palate, it has a powerful entry, with a broad and smooth passage, great length and persistence in the mouth, fresh eucalyptus and subtle pyrazines. In addition, a subtle touch of menthol is perceived.

The Gualtallaray Malbec is dedicated to all those who win their battles. On the palate, you’ll enjoy the presence of red fruits, cassis, peaches, apricots and spices. With a marked attack on the palate, La Contienda begins its journey through the palate with a prolonged presence typical of the Gualtallary region, Mendoza. Wild tannins are tamed over time, with subtle and delicate wood.

La Contienda Cabernet Franc represents the future, as pyrazine flashes will appear on the nose, notes of roasted bell pepper, sweet paprika with eucalyptus, and oregano that ends up providing its complexity.
