After four generations, Montes Toscanini has crafted an exceptional vineyard, winery, and wine range that represents the pinnacle of Uruguayan winemaking. The Reserva Familiar line offers unoaked wines at competitive prices, featuring a wide array of styles such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé Tannat, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tannat. Elegido, a Reserva wine, is a distinct blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, and Merlot. Carlos Montes wines honor the oenologist’s father, showcasing traditional, expressive wines aged for 12 months in oak, including Merlot, Tannat, and a Cabernet-Tannat bi-varietal. Criado en Roble is a multi-award-winning collection sourced from select plots, with 15 months of aging for its Tannat and Blend (Tannat, Syrah, Merlot) labels. These wines are consistently praised by Uruguayan wine critics, regularly earning 90-97 points in tastings. The Crudo series embodies a minimal intervention, experimental approach, made without sulfites, fining agents, or stabilizers. Crudo 1 is a pure Tannat, while Crudo 5 blends Tannat, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Crudo 6 is the same blend, but oak-aged. Barricado, aged for 8 months in oak, reveals its complexity. Gran Tannat and Corte Supremo are iconic Gran Reserve wines, aged for 18 months.
